It will help to try and meet at the same time of day/week when the group is able to do so. Preparation at Sutech is always useful, even prior to the study session. Be sure that you’ve covered all designated class reading. Prepare yourself with the the issues to be reviewed at that day’s group session. Going without getting ready to study could very likely just waste your and everyone else’s time. Every person should be able to contribute some skill to the group. If all of your sessions are conducted with just one member taking the leadership role at every meeting, then maybe you should just find a tutor. When you take on a teaching role in the group, you need to emphasize what you have studied and, of course, it will serve the needs of the study group. Nancy Haverford started out her career by teaching hundreds of high school students about college life in different US scholastic environments. She has also provided hints on finding examples of college admission essays, more notably for the high school students who need to produce near-perfect college admissions essays to shift the focus off of average grade point averages before university.
