It will help to try to meet at or around the the same time/day of the week whenever it can be managed. Preparation is necessary, even before the study session. Be sure that you’ve completed all indicated homework. Look over the list of subjects that will be discussed for that group meeting. Arriving unprepared will waste your and the study group’s time. All members should be able to add competence to the group. If the bulk of your sessions are conducted with only one member taking the lead at all the meetings, then maybe you need to get a tutor. When you do get your chance to teach the group, you must spotlight what you know and, of course, it will help the entire group. Nancy Haverford started out her career by coaching scores of high school students from H and R Block about preparing for life in college in US academic institutions. She has also imparted many advice on searching for sample college admission essays, particularly for the high school students who must craft topnotch admissions essays to make up for average grade point averages before university.
